Cronx

Do you remember the times when you mentioned Brixton and everyone cringed just by the sound of it? See how "current" it is to live there now. It will happen to Croydon too, just wait for it! Since I've been living in the area, all I can see is the rapid developments: Matthew's Yard, Boxpark, Westfield. So I decided to create a series of posters to promote the area: here is the first one, my favourite, near East Croydon Station, No.1. 50p building.

I had some free time this afternoon and I had this thought to run down quickly and take some pictures of the 50p building just before the sun go down. I was planning on doing these posters for ages... Then I just played around with it in Ps and Id. Here is the original and slightly edited pics:

Student Life Newsletter - Cover

Here are a few examples of the cover I designed for the Student Life Newsletter. We had set colours to use, also as the layout of the magazine itself is quite sharp, geometric and diagonal, we wanted something similar on the cover as well.

We are probably going to use this one.

And here are a few more...

Cargo Collective

Follow the link below to view my work on Cargo:

CV + Cover letter mockup

Finalising my CV was a lot more stressful than I thought. Setting up grids, making sure that the two layers (which is not visible on the mockup itself) actually fit together, figuring out a way to attach these two pieces of paper was quite difficult, but I'm relatively happy with the result. I wanted to add a mockup of my business cards as well, but I couldn't find any square ones. So for now here is a little preview of how my CV and Cover letter will look like. I decided to actually photograph the whole package myself when it's done. It'll be fun to set up everything the way I like and not use a pre-made template.

Would this work?

Creativity can feed from many roots: everyday activities, books/movies, from other artist's work, feelings...
I've tried out a few more ideas in the past week, and I finally feel like I'm getting there! Still using simple, geometric shapes and black&white, but somehow these feels a bit more "symmetric".

I quite like the idea of this logo.
It was inspired by the Florence and the Machine's What kind of man cover.

And how I got to this point?

Postcards from Hungary

Finally I got around to edit some of the pictures I've taken in Hungary a few month ago. I needed to have a break from uni projects and just do something fun for myself. I wanted to create a bit of a vintage feel, but with a modern twist, hence the colour blocking. More to come soon.

Curriculum Vitae

So here is a little update I've been working on lately: my first attempts on creating my creative CV. As currently I like everything minimal, I decided to make my CV as simple as possible. I had many jobs and various experiences in the past, so I've chosen the ones were the most relevant to my future career.

The printed version will contain two pages: The first one will include all the necessary information, experiences and skills, printed on normal, white paper. The second page will be printed on some sort of "tracing" paper, having only the most important features on it, so when you look at them separately, it'll be easier to see the relevant information. Does it make sense? I shall print some test pieces to make it clear...
